Class Policies/FAQs

How do I reserve a spot in class? Your child’s or family’s spot will be reserved once payment or a deposit is received through the Sawyer registration platform.  Payment plans are an option through Sawyer as well.  Please reach out if you have questions about payment options.

Are there make-up classes? If your child misses a class, please reach out to petitefeet@lizvacco.com to schedule a make up class in a class for a similar age range.  Please consult the schedule for options.  A few make-up classes can be rolled over into the next session as needed.

Can I get a refund? Refunds for the remainder of kids sessions will be given if you choose not to continue the session before the third class of the session.  After that, you can receive credit for a future session or you can transfer your spot to a friend who is not already enrolled.  Refunds for family classes will be granted if you cancel within 24 hours before the start of class.  After that, you can transfer to a different Family Style day.

How can I arrange a free trial class?  We do ask that students commit to a full session to get the most out of the dance class experience. However, if you’re new to a class and would like to do a free trial, please sign up through Sawyer or email to ensure that the class is not full. If the class is not full, your child can come try a single class for free.

What should my child wear to dance class?

For Intro and Petite Feet Ballet/creative Movement, dancers may wear whatever they choose as long as they can move easily and comfortably.  Ballet slippers or bare feet are required for ballet classes.

For Ballet Foundations class, students should wear a leotard (with or without a skirt) and tights, biker shorts, or leggings. Students should wear ballet shoes.

Modern/Ballet, students should also wear the same as for Ballet Foundations, but students should be able to change from ballet shoes to bare feet.

For Family Style class, sneakers or dance shoes work well.

For all classes, socks are not advised as the floor can be slippery in socks.

Here is a list of stores in the LA area that I recommend for dancewear.

What is the policy for adult participation/drop-off?

  • For intro classes (ages 2-4), one caregiver should plan to stay and support your child throughout class.  There is additional seating for other adults who may want to stay as well.

  • For classes for ages 3 and up, drop-off is optional, but there is seating in the studio for adults who choose to stay.  Please note that, if you choose to stay, we need to maintain the best learning environment for the dancers.  Please be sensitive to noise levels and refrain from conversation during class time.  Thank you in advance!
