SCHOOL DAY DANCE & THEATER
IN-SCHOOL OR AFTERSCHOOL PROGRAMS
With Prop 28 arts funding coming to schools across CA in February 2024, the commitment to arts education in our state is strong. Read updates about Prop 28 here and please reach out to petitefeet@lizvacco.com to begin discussing and collaborating!
Are you a school teacher or administrator looking to bring more arts to your students? Are you a parent who is hoping to see more arts at your child's school? Liz would love to partner with you to help you achieve just that!
With eight years of experience running the arts program at Gabriella Charter Schools and with CA kinesiology (dance) and multiple subject teaching credentials, a BA in theater and a MA in education, Liz's passion is connecting the arts to daily learning (with a particular interest in elementary and early childhood dance/academic integration.) She will work with you to figure out the best arts programming for your school's community and to implement it. This could look like...
A rotation of arts integration units tailored for particular grade levels and connected to grade level academic and arts standards, delivered by Liz in collaboration with classroom teachers
Professional development for classroom teachers so that they feel comfortable integrating the arts into their teaching
Regular dance, yoga, or theater classes led by Liz and worked into your school’s daily schedule so that students get an opportunity to move and express themselves during the school day
Collaborative creation and implementation of arts lessons that help students grow socio-emotionally
An after-school arts program at your school site tailored to the community’s interests - some examples are interdisciplinary performance, arts for social justice, dance and drawing…and so much more
Whatever else you might be wanting! Creativity is the name of this game!
